Avocado is a great first food to start with! All my babies loved it! If you are spoon feeding you can mash with a little breast milk or formula. They are also great for baby led weaning because they are so squishable. Simply cut into finger- sized strips and coat with something to make it less slippery (Ex. crumbs, chia seeds, flour, oats). Tip: After cutting the avocado in half, put your thumb on the outside of the skin over the pit and simple PRESS it out (to avoid cuts from pulling the pit out with a knife) You can also coat avocado with avocado oil (or any oil) to prevent it from going brown so quickly. Also, make sure to pop avocados in the fridge once they are ripe to give them a little extra life ✨ Did your baby like 🥑 Note: It doesn’t have to be their very food food! I liked the safe texture, mild flavour, and healthy fats, but there are other foods that make a great first food also! Iron rich foods included early also 💞 I also highly recommend infant CPR for ALL parents and caregivers!
