Today's video is the first in PREGNANCY RECIPES OF THE WEEK!!! Bone broth is high in collagen and gelatin which contain the important amino acid, glycine. Outside of pregnancy we create enough glycine, but during pregnancy our endogenous production cannot keep up with our needs. Enjoy this recipe to support your baby's bone, tissue and collagen growth, especially in late pregnancy and some research shows it may also reduce stretch marks. Chicken Bone Broth Recipe Ingredients:
4 pounds chicken carcass/bones/necks/feet/wings (don't use the meat)
3 carrots, chopped
3 celery stalks, chopped
2 medium onions, peel on, quartered
4 garlic cloves, leave peel on and smashed
1 teaspoon Himalayan salt
1 teaspoon whole peppercorns
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 bay leaves
3 sprigs fresh thyme
5–6 sprigs parsley (optional)
1 teaspoon oregano
